Series: Berlin’s graveyards

I visited the „Künstlerfriedhof Friedenau“ today, officially known as Friedhof Schöneberg III. It is small but one of the most intimate and beautiful graveyards I know.

Small in size, but heavy in personalities it is the resting place of Marlene Dietrich, one of the greatest stars to ever live, whose answer „Deutschland? Nie wieder!“ will stay true throughout the ages. Helmut Newton’s resting place can be found right next to Marlene’s. Not many words are necessary to describe this photographer whose „Big Nudes“ made him world famous. The full scale of his work is shown at Museum für Fotografie.
